Blood Bought
Jesus, Your praises are sweet to speak
Your beauty and mercy beyond compare
I turn to lean on Your strength
And find that You're always there
Waiting for me to humbly reach out
Accept Your perfect and loving lift
Admit I cannot do it myself
And receive Your blood bought, eternal gift

My beautiful sister,
Don't turn me from your embrace
Just because I was given a gift
That you don't think I should have
Satan has enough ammunition already
Without giving him the key
To the trunk which holds our hopes and fears
" Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world... "
Troubled Torrent
Life's times
When personal deluge of tears
Far exceeds
Nourishing rains.
Reaching out
Am I
For my Father
As He gathers me close
To carry this lamb
For a troubled season.
Cherished safely
Am I,
Everlasting arms
Wrapping me
Stilling my stuttering heart
With His strengthening joy.

THANK YOU! I once took one of those personality tests - the fellow administering it said I was sort of off the chart in expressing my feelings/thoughts.... at that time I didn't know there was a writer hidden in there and took it as almost a negative but I sure don't now!
