One of THOSE Days?

Burdened

Lord, I came to You today
Laden with a basket of heavy tears

Pulling me apart
Weighting me with sorrow

And as we talked
You hugged me warm
In Your Sonshine

As my Jesus smiled
Each tear became a rainbow
With the promise of Your peace.

Soon You lifted me up to You
Your calmness quieted my mind
And You drew me with Your strength

How long would I have burdened
If I'd chosen not to come?

I was so close to being crushed
By trying to carry my own heaviness

Thank You beyond words, my Jesus
For drawing me into Your arms once again.

Crisis

How can I make sense
When tears flood my logic
And I reach out
But there's no one there
Only the hollow ringing
Of an empty phone at my ear

Why do I have to bottom out
Before I pour out my heart
To You, My Jesus?

And You were there
Arms waiting open
All the While.

These are so beautiful and you said it well, why do we wait as if Jesus is supposed to be our last resort. Perhaps it we stay close to him in communion and fellowship in the first place, we might not fall in the pit as often. Or at all?

Oh, Teresa! I just finished writing something that was totally pivotal in my walk with the Lord, obedience and God putting Mick and me together. What a blessing - it is on this Searchwarp and called Thoughts and Meditations on PS 84 Amplified Version....
