Dark Clouds

Sometimes there are dark, dismal clouds

That seem to cover our way;

And it’s very hard to remember

All the “Son” of yesterday.

But, behind those dreary clouds,

The “Son” is extra bright!

For His love is always there,

To guide us through our night!

Deep in our heavy, human heart,

The Faith that He planted there

Is waiting to be exercised;

Dug up, by His Word and prayer!

So let us lean on loving, Living arms,

And dig deep to that Faith within,

And trust Him to shine through the clouds,

And flood our lives once again!

This was written as an encouragement for someone who was going through really deep waters. This trial lasted for more than a year, as kidney transplants are a very long, up and down experience. Praise God, He has answered prayers of many and all seems to be going well. We have such an awesome, wonderful God who truly cares. Our lives need to be wholly dedicated to Him, and He pours out His love over and over again. He is a God of Blessings when we are in the position to receive.

Verna, thank you for sharing this encouraging poem. Praise the Lord for his faithfulness! I am printing this out. This belongs on my refrigerator. One to read everyday, before the dark cloud comes.
