You bedecked my life
With precious jewels
Of your love,
Mercy, grace, forgiveness
Clustered in sterling promise
Of everlasting eternity

I traded my sin soiled soul
For Your reviving Spirit
Indwelling my earthen vessel
To remold me
Starting with my stony heart
Recreating me in Jesus' image

Washing me in His
Regenerating blood
Putting to death
My sins
Yet resurrecting me
A new creature through His sacrifice

He who is perfect
And knew no sin
Ruler of the universe
Becoming man,
Earthbound for a time
To die
For a hopeless, undeserving sinner
Such as I

I long to talk with You and listen
I desire to know You're here
And we're in touch, vitally

Lord let me be of a clean heart
Reveal to me my hidden uncleanness
