Pensive Poems II (written by this senior citizen when she was a teenager)

Life IS a Picnic
Some like life to be a picnic,
As for little girls and boys;
Full of fun and laughter,
Gay and happy noise
If that dreaming group
Would just stop and take a glance,
Could they ever see a picnic
Unaccompanied by ants?
To Kennedy
(Written the day JFK died)
I am not an artist, yet I am going to attempt
To draw a picture of him, in words.
.
.
.
.
I have failed, for words are not strong enough
To describe a person such as he.
Cycles
And time goes by
And people change
But life goes on
As before.
Life Unseen
And the ocean
It is big
And changeable
I am told
So is life
Too large
To fathom
Until it's seen.
