Struggling Still, Are You?

Prisoner Set Free
Jesus, You came to visit me
When I was locked within despair
Sin slammed shut the door forever
I was truly a prisoner there
Jesus, again You looked in on me
Touched my infirmity and pain
Brought on by rejecting You
And You turned my heart again
You knocked with importunity
Until I gladly opened wide
To Your cleansing forgiveness
And invited You inside
No longer is life a prison
With my sin sick soul inside
Jesus threw away the chains and bars
Since I choose in Him to abide.
Empty
Empty am I.
Please mend the breaches?
As I die
To me
Refill me
With You alone
Dear Jesus,
I plead,
As I try to praise.
Carried On
Carried On
In timeless rest,
'Neath wings of purest gold
By furnace fire tested,
I soar above,
Not on strength
Of my own,
But only that
Of my Savior's love.
