Away Too Long Devotional (Words from the Lord series)
My child, it had been so long since you have come away to really rest in my arms and be renewed.
Is there a need? Do you see/sense an emptiness?
Do you hear me not, though I am ever present? Listen.
Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know the great I AM.
Come away my beloved and selah. (Pause and think calmly)
Psalm 46:10
" Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth. " (NIV)
Exodus 15:26
He said, " If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you. " (NIV)
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to learn (again) to be still and listen to You; all knowledge, wisdom of the ages, all love. I am sometimes empty and you are Fullness personified! AMEN

How true this is for me right now! Can't wait to find a new place of fellowship, set myself under the authority of leadership and wait on God to allow me to serve in a new place! Not to mention time to myself to study up, pray and write some more studies! Thanks for this gentle reminder. We are off to my in-laws for dinner. I set up my computer, now I just have to patiently wait for my dad to set up the wireless connection or second connection so I can use my PC in my bedroom. At least I can check in on my mom's computer here and there. Lots of love! TRespond to this comment
