REST, not Striving Devotional (Words from the Lord series)

Child, I shall teach you to REST in Me. Strive not. Be at peace. Receive from the Great I AM for all your needs. I cherish you. I shall teach you more. Rest in Me. SELAH

Psalm 62:1

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. (NIV)

Psalm 62:5

Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. (NIV)

Psalm 91:1

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (NIV)

Haggai 2:9

'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty. " (NIV)

Prayer: I am so glad, dear Jesus, that you are going to teach me to rest in You. It seems I am forever retaking this “final” exam. I do desire to receive from You even though sometimes I wiggle too much. Help me to be still? AMEN.

Hello. Never fails that I happen across one of your old posts at the time I need it most. Amazing how God's word is truly alive. Love, T - praying!!!  And praise the Lord for the hope :-)

 This is old - back when I posted just the "word" from the Lord, applicable scriptures and a prayer.... have amplified all of these now with little personal clips and snips.... glad this encouraged you!
