God's Pallette
by Cheery Blossom(39)When the combines begin to growl, and the cool winds blow,
It’s then, that the dark clouds make us think of the winter snow.
We begin to think of long nights, and the cold in the air;
And we rush through the fields to get the crops, before it’s here!
It’s then, that God takes out His palette, of yellow, gold, and red;
And turns our world into a beauty, better seen than said!
Some fir trees seem to take on a much greener, seasoned hue,
In contrast to gorgeous colors, God paints for us to view!
The bright orange in the pumpkin patch, blends into the bright sight.
We know God is in His heaven, and everything’s just right!
Be glad for the beauty, before the winter’s stormy blast.
The children play in the falling leaves, and wish fall would last!
Yet, God’s clock moves steadily forward, to the next season.
Each change, God paints with beauty, for each, there is a reason.
So, as we gaze at the color, that God paints from above,
Let’s thank Him, and praise Him, because He does it through His love!

I think it is coming all too fast this year! Our "hottest" day has been 73 and the aspen are already turning! MarijoRespond to this comment
