What is in Your Heart
by
Cheery Blossom(25)
Have we ever truly examined what is in our heart? Have we ever pondered on the things that exist there? What do we find in our hearts that does not belong there?
Proverbs 23:7 states, “For as he (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he.
How often do we meditate on times when it seems others have treated us badly, or wishing our lives were different, or rationalizing why we desire “things?” Be honest, what do we find there? Is it a pretty picture of who we are, or a sad picture of human feelings and failures? God commands us to bring every thought into captivity. II Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”
The only way that we can do this, is to submerge our lives in God’s Word. Between each page, we find ways and reasons to surrender totally to God. He is in complete control of our time, our testing’s, our successes, and failures. He knows the way that we take! Each step that we walk, and the way that we talk!
Let us cry with David, “Create in me a clean heart; oh God; and renew a right spirit within me” Psalms 51:10 God answers our heart cry, when we are sincere in our plea, and do our part to maintain a right relationship with Him.
Look deep into my heart, Lord.
Cast out the dross within.
Fill my heart with your deep love.
Cleanse my heart from every sin. V.M.
Job 23:10 But He knows the way that I take. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
