My Deepest Desire

by Cheery Blossom(25)

Whenever I read my Bible
The writing challenge is always there.
The beauty of the Spirit-breathed Word,
Causes my heart to breathe a prayer.

I desire to write in the Spirit;
To share all that I feel in my heart,
To express the praises felt within,
It seems there’s no place I can start.

There’s desire to share my struggles,
And the joys that thrill my own soul,
Reach out to those who’ve missed the mark,
And have never made heaven their goal.

I cry out to God for His Wisdom,
(Which He has promised that He will give.)
I pray that I’ll be an example
That another soul may truly live.

As my pen so feebly scribbles
The heart cry that comes from within,
Each word will have a deep meaning
If one soul escapes judgment from sin.

I long to have others join me
In a walk of pure joy and delight.
Search God’s Word for the answers,
God will turn your darkness into light...
