Are You on Freeze Frame in Your Life?
by
Marijo Phelps(199)
Many times life seems to either be frozen in place or on fast forward. The pace is not my choosing and God’s timing certainly isn’t what I would have thought to pick until “hindsight”, then His timing is just perfect. His timing is such that we smile and really couldn’t see it any other way, until the next time we are on “freeze frame”. Oh how quickly we seem to forget that still, small voice and its revelations:
My daughter, I have called you by your name and you are Mine. I have brought you to this place for My purpose – fear not – you know I AM creative – the God of infinite ways and means…. This time is a place marker – a spacer (temporary) you will not be given more than you and Jesus can handle. Do NOT fear – I AM has you by the hand. I love you. Selah (pause and think calmly about that).
Prayer: Dear Lord, it is almost a month since You gave me the “word” regarding this job being temporary, a “place marker”. THANK YOU. Lord, I’m believing You to open doors in Your time and I’m grasping Your grace. I’ve been blowing it sometimes too. Thank You for being faithful and HELP this child of Yours.
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-
present help in trouble. (NIV)
I am glad reading this one that he didn’t say ever present trouble – we do get a break at times, a breather and respite but God never leaves us through it all.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of
escape, that you may be able to bear it. (NIV)
I am thinking that the way of escape might always be the same and it is spelled J=E=S=U=S. He is our shelter in the times of storm, a nail in a sure place, we can find refuge underneath the everlasting wings. Jesus is our strong tower and as righteous we can run into that tower and be saved. There is no better place to be nor anyone stronger we can see for shelter. Now, if we just have the wisdom to remember that quickly next time we are on “freeze frame”.
