Beauty Treatment

by Cheery Blossom(28)

Peter 3:3, 4 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4 Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

It seems as if beauty treatment has become foremost in many minds in the United States.

Many people have enough surgery to make themselves poor, and not because they have a real physical need, but because they believe that tweaking this and that, will inevitably make them more beautiful.

We are sure if we buy a new type of cosmetic, this will surely make us more comfortable with ourselves.

I would like to suggest that God made us as we are, and each one of us has been given the capability of becoming real, not fake beauties. I am not suggesting that God does not want us to be clean and not unkempt, but He looks upon our hearts.

Ephesians 4:24 tells us to “Put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

We can be comfortable with ourselves if we are full of God’s love and forgiveness. Jesus Christ promised us His peace, not like the peace that the world offers, but perfect peace within.

If we have been born again, all things become new, and God helps us to become more beautiful as we walk with Him.

Let us put on the beauty of Jesus Christ, it does not cost, it blesses you and others.
