Are You in a Win, Win, Situation?

Christians have much more to rejoice about, in any situation of life, than those who do not know Christ.
No, I am not suggesting that we will never undergo many of the things that I call, “the circumstances of life.” We most certainly will go through some of these as we are IN the world; but never forget, we are not OF the world.” We never “travel, or travail” through any of these circumstances alone.
The Apostle Paul, when writing to the Philippians stated, “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Ph. 1:21
His is true of all followers of Christ. God has placed us here to glorify Him.
If we should go from rags to riches or from riches to rags, our Father knows how we can best be used. Our whole goal in life is and should be to please Him and bring honor and glory to Him.
We need His attributes to successfully honor Him. Sometimes, only through disasters, do we see Him as He is. We may go through some trials in our lives which every human will go through. Perhaps we need to have more compassion and less arrogance. Perhaps we have no understanding of other’s losses, or the toll that serious illnesses pay to the body. Perhaps we need to be weak so that we can become strong.
We need to praise God that He can use us better to win others to Christ when we have experienced earthly trials, and, as the verse states-when we die, we are still winners, for we shall be with Him, which Paul says is far better. There will be no more earthly experiences there, only peace and joy.
Compare this to the one whose heart is void of Christ. Many are the rich, but there is no thought of serving Christ, and having the greater joy of helping others.
When non-Christians are poor, they walk alone, without the compassion and deep love and provision of a Savior who carries them through. Death itself will be void of any pleasure, but eternal sufferings, far greater than the circumstances of earth.
I am so filled with joy to know that I am on the winning side, regardless of what I must go through here. What a wonderful Savior we serve.
Take a little time to peruse through the book of John, and through Ephesians and Philippians. John will show us “the way.” Ephesians will give a glimpse of sitting in the Heavenlies, and Philippians will thrill us with God’s love; and will make us desire to apply the warnings and to learn the peace of Christ and the true joy we can find in Him.
