Freedom Isn't Free

by Marijo Phelps(179) Red Star

The price He paid was gruesome

Upon that wicked tree

The death He died so horrible

Purchased freedom for you and me

We need to pause, to think on Him

The costly sacrifice made

Praising and thanking Jesus

For the weighty debt He paid

Giving His life for each of us

Spending all He had to give

Crucified on Calvary

So each of us might live

Ponder upon the debt t’was paid

With God’s own blood for you

As Christ was tortured, bled and died

He did what no one else could do

It had to be done by the sinless one

That perfect Calvary Lamb

No one could die for you or me

Except our great “I AM”

So let us not take lightly

This gift which cost Him all

Listening to His Spirit woo

Let’s hear and obey His call.

Paulian horseapples; christ's suffering did not purchase, remove your sins; belief, alone, in Him will not save.

Even unholy nasty demons believe in Christ.

He spoke of God to remind you that Jesus isn't a God to be worshipped, you've been mislead and memorized words given you to repeat over and over wrong concepts.

Thanks for reading my poem and your honest comments.

I was an atheist for 9 years - once I came into a personal relationship with Jesus who is God the son(the Word who created the worlds, universe, put the stars in place) there was no turning back.

If he wasn't God, he couldn't have died for me or for you - he would have been sinful just like we all are. Being God he could pay the price that we couldn't pay.

I sense a lot of anger in your response and pray that someday, somehow, the truth will set you free.I have been where you are - it was not a fullfiling or happy time in my life.

Thanks again for reading this piece.

Hi Marijo. Such heart-felt words of truth. Thank you allowing God to use you. "Let us not grow weary in well doing". What a gift God has given that our hearts can be made right and that our minds are truly free to learn, see, and experience true freedom from the bondage of the enemy! Praying for you! Love you!!!

Thank you Teresa - heavy day yesterday but glorious time in church today - the Holy Spirit took over and Pastor Jim didn't even need to preach!
