How Important Is Your Prayer Life?
Is prayer an option? Is it only useful during the 'hard' times? Is prayer a time that you look forward to every day?
Has prayer become a regiment? A ritual?
In James it says that "the prayer of a righteous man avails much", which means that our prayers matter to God.
In fact, when it's done right, God moves. MIGHTILY. He may use a torch to light our own hearts, showing us our need; He may blaze a trail with your life, and use you in ways you never imagined-all because you focused in on your 'secret place' in the Father. Don't just read books about prayer. Don't just read about it in the bible. Study God. Then prayer comes as He reveals Himself to you. Prayer is a key that leads to worship, repentance, holiness, and righteousness in your lifestyle before a Holy God. So remember to focus. Remember to travail-keep asking.keep knocking. keep seeking.
"The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!" James 5: 16
