Living For The Rapture

Did you know that as Christians we are to be eagerly looking to and living for the Rapture (Rom. 8:23, Phil. 3:20)? We're not looking for the destruction of the world or death, but the beginning of eternal life with Jesus and our glorification in Him (John 10:28). The Rapture is not the loss of life, it is the fulfillment of it. It is the church's glorification (1 Cor. 15:51-57). It ushers in our new, perfect, sinless, glorified, eternal bodies. For the followers of Christ, it moves us from our temporary tents into permanent, beautiful homes made without hands, made especially for us by the Lord Himself (2 Cor. 5:1, 1 Pet. 1:3-5, John 14:1-4).

Jesus said that no one can know the day or hour of when the Rapture will occur. It must be embarrasing for those that expected this event to take place on May 21st. Their whole understanding of how the end time events will unfold is unbiblical.

Hello Brain. Well said. The Rapture isn't the end of things for the believer, but the beginning; just as death isn't the end of life, but the beginning. If by death or through the Rapture of the Church, it will be a glorious day to be with our Savior and Lord. Blessings!

Lord bless! Thanks, Bart. The more I read through the New Testament, the more obvious it is that the early church was eagerly looking for Jesus' return at any time. They were living for a city made without hands! How much more should we be ready for His Kingdom?!
