
In the center of the Bible you will discover the wonderful illustrious Book of The Psalm ! It is a marvelous collection of spiritual songs,hymns, prayers, heartfelt expressions, sympathy, compassion and wisdom for all of humanity! Herein is a collective, dynamic, reflective, deep compelling expression of the inner intimate thoughts of many! The often experienced transparency is emotional, illuminating and enlightening! The Psalmists wonderfully and often poetically share their anxieties, confessions, weaknesses, strengths doubts, fears and most important Love for the Lord!
Worship is a sacred veneration! It is so very important and should be honestly expressed as we commune sincerely, transparently and earnestly with the Lord! It is through worship, adoration, adulation and praise we are able to develop a deeper meaningful genuine intimate relationship with the Lord! Our body is a Temple! We invite the Lord to fill us with the presence of His Holy Spirit as our hearts and minds are centered on Him! We offer ourselves up to Him and momentarily we become a living sanctuary of PRAISE !
The plethora of Psalmists often quite vociferously cry out in, anger despair and agony as well as comparable crescenduous joy, ecstasy, elation, jubilation and heartfelt joyous Celebrations! It is here in the Psalm one can come to find comfort and consolation to encourage us all as we journey through these definite last days. They begin at Creation and go on … Here showcased is the Power of our Sovereign Lord and a wealth of wisdom assuring us of His eternal love for us and brilliant forthcoming plan of Salvation through Jesus Christ! Here we are able to find strength and encouragement to Confess, Praise, Worship and Adore our Lord. They are for All to enjoy! “Whosoever will let him come!” To God Be the Glory!
The Psalm includes a diverse cast of ingenuous dramatists! Here are the extraordinary authors! David wrote 73, Asaph wrote 12, the Sons of Korah wrote 9, Heman along with the sons of Korah wrote 1, Solomon wrote 2, Ethan and Moses wrote 1 and there are 51 that are considered Anonymous! They were written and complied somewhere between the times of Moses up until the postexilic times of the Babylonian captivity.
The Psalm is the largest book in the Bible. It is inclusive of a set of (5) five books they were the temple hymnbook and the devotional guide for the Jewish people. The Greek Septuagint terms it “ Psalmoi” meaning poems accompanied by music! The Latin title “Liber Psalmorum” meaning Book of Psalms.
Book 1 PSALM 1 – 41, Book 2 PSALM 42-72, Book 3, PSALM 73 – 89, Book 4 PSALM 90 – 106 & Book 5 107 – 150. Here within these Psalms are mega spiritual themes. Praise, God’s Power, Forgiveness, Thoughtfulness and Trust are continually discussed throughout. When you want comfort and in need to spend some intimate time with the Lord look no further. Here the melody in your heart will be revived, and ignited to pray, your FAITH renewed, Hope ignited as you are encouraged to look onward and upward to our Sovereign Lord!
