Life's times
When personal deluge of tears
Far exceeds
Nourishing rains.
Reaching out
Am I
For my Father
As He gathers me close
To carry this lamb
For a troubled season.
Cherished safely
Am I,
Everlasting arms
Wrapping me
Stilling my stuttering heart
With His strengthening joy.
I wrote this one a couple years back. Not sure what I was going through then but it sure is applicable now. For those who think Jesus is not alive simply because they can’t see Him I would send this reassuring challenge…. You can’t see electricity either but does that keep you from reaching out and turning on that switch? And if you have ever had an electrical shock you know that just because you can’t see electricity doesn’t mean it isn’t there. This analogy isn’t perfect but it gives the unbeliever something to think about I suspect. HE is here with me in even greater measure than usual. Tomorrow I go to my radiologist and find out what to expect in that part of my cancer treatment. Along with my hubby, Mick, I know that our Lord and Savior will be with us walking us through this next step in my cancer treatment and giving us His comfort, wisdom and presence.
