Yes, it is Christmas

by Cheery Blossom(29)

'Twas on a holy, nippy night,

Crisp stillness filled the air;

While stars glittered in the sky

A young mother breathed a prayer.

A little cry interrupted the stillness.

Many glorious angels began to sing;

Because at that special moment,

God had sent us our True King.

Born a baby to live like man,

To be tempted and to be tried;

To show us He was God's own Son,

God's presence He could not hide.

Hated by man, yet to save man

From the many pitfalls of life;

To give us joy, peace, and comfort.

Yes, His peace instead of strife.

In utter, depraved, deep darkness;

He gave His life on the cruel cross.

All because He loved us so,

He was willing to suffer loss.

But never fear---=He lives;

And in our lives He will reign!

There was so much that He lost;

But we have all to gain.

So, as we celebrate His birth;

Re-commit your life to Him.

Walk daily with Jesus, your guide.

Don't make Him suffer again!
